Steven Oliver (Ollie)

It is with sadness we report the untimely death of our friend and member Ollie. He died from a heart attack at the age of 54. He leaves behind his wife Linda and their three sons, James, Michael & Christopher. A proud and loving husband, father and former Royal Marine.

Raymond Lavery (Ray)

It is with great sadness we report the death of our Chairman, Ray. He died at the age of 64 after a long battle with cancer. A very good Chairman to our Branch and a friend to many, many people near and far. He will be very sadly missed by all. Our condolences go out to his family. Until we meet again dear friend.

Nick McPhee (Shuggy)

It is with great sadness we report the untimely death of Shuggy who passed away at home. A proud family man and friend to many especially from 45 Cdo MT/Wksps. He will be sadly missed by all. Our condolences goes out to his family.

Neil Watson B.S.C, CBiol, MIBiol

It is with great sadness we report the death of Neil whilst making his way with members and friends of the RMA to the Remembrance Parade in Arbroath. He had a heart attack but could not be saved. He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral service at Perth Crematorium on Friday 13th at 1400hrs. Mini bus leaves Arbroath at 1215hrs.

The Royal Marines Prayer

O Eternal Lord God, who through many generations has united and inspired the

members of our Corps, grant Thy blessing, we beseech Thee, on Royal Marines

serving all round the GLOBE. Bestow Thy CROWN of Righteousness upon all our

efforts and endeavours and may our LAURELS be those of gallantry and honour,

loyalty and courage. We ask these things in the Name of Him, whose courage never

failed, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,

A poem for all

Death is nothing at all. It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.

What is this death but a negligible accident?
